The Hidalgo County Detention Center is now accepting applications for Detention Officer. This process is to fill vacancies for Detention Officer as they occur over a period of four months. All qualified, interviewed, and considered applicants will be kept on file for a period of four months.

The Hidalgo County Central Dispatch Center is accepting applications for Full Time Dispatcher Position. Applications may be picked up and returned to the Hidalgo County – County Managers Office at 305 Pyramid Street Monday thru Friday from 8am to 5pm. Applications may also be obtained and completed on line at hidalgocounty.org website. Applicants must be able to operate multiple phone lines, multiple radio frequencies, proficient with computers, have proficient typing skills and the ability to multi task is a priority. The Hidalgo County Detention Center is currently accepting applications for (1) full time-position of a Sergeant. Minimum requirements include a High School Diploma or equivalent, two years of detention center experience, and a valid driver’s license. Starting salary is $35,360.
