Notice of Intent to Amend Hidalgo County Ordinance No. 97-12
The Hidalgo County Commission wishes to amend Ordinance No. 97-12, relating to the Collective Bargaining Ordinance for Hidalgo County. This amendment is necessary to make the 97-12 Collective Bargaining ordinance compliant with current statute requirements. This amended ordinance will be considered in a special commission meeting to be held on June 26, 2013, at 9:00 am at the Hidalgo County Courthouse. Public comments will be accepted either in an email form directed to hcmgr@aznex.net or in a letter form addressed to 300 South Shakespeare Street, Lordsburg New Mexico 88045: Attention County Manager. Copies of the proposed amended ordinance will be available at the Hidalgo County Manager’s Office during regular business hours. The proposed amended ordinance will be posted on the County’s WEB site: www.hidalgocounty.org

The community is invited. Meet at Short Park to clean up areas on US 70 from the underpass to the "Y" intersection of Highway 90. Stakes with the Maverick Pride logo will be placed as the sections are cleaned. The WNMU - Southwest New Mexico Leadership Group will also unveil a Pride billboard which will be located NW of US 70 by the underpass.
Balance of Property Taxes are due.
The next SWCCA Meeting will be held next Wednesday, June 26, 2013, at 11:00 a.m. over in Catron County (Reserve) in their Commission Room. Also, the deadline to add items to the agenda is this Wednesday, June 19, 2013, by 5:00 p.m. Now that the Open Meetings Act revisions are in effect, the agenda will be finalized this Friday in order to meet the 72-hour requirement; copies will be sent out Friday afternoon.
